    Thanks for that heads-up, Mike.
A little cracker of a thread indeed.

Straight to my current top of 'Things which make the whole place worthwhile'.

I merged a thread of JB's from August into this one ('Suggestions for WW2 talk 'Classic Threads'), as it's along similar lines.

Think I might add a link direct to this thread to the Portal.
It's members' own recommendations so it reflects real people's choices without any artificiality - a good place to start for the passing browser.

(Don't want to tread on Ron's Title-toes, but Is it worth a re-title to something a bit more generic? I hope we'll end up with more than 100 eventually ;). )

    Re-title as you see fit.

What about "The very best of ww2talk" ?

As per conversation with Ron elsewhere on forum -

any further nominations for classic/favourite/useful/entertaining/informative threads?

I'll nominate this one, as it was great to see three of the Veterans on this forum, ie Tom, Ron and Gerry having a great time.

I really like CS's Military Mistresses thread whenever it pops back up.
    Military mistresses

The sort of little nugget of interest that you really don't find much coverage on.

I take the view that the Forum in total, provides a comprehensive picture of the Second World War in all its facets, woven by threads of unique experience and knowledge. It is also my view that to try and single out the golden threads is an invidious exercise. Like judging baby pictures !
