Hi Guys and Gals, Can anyone tell me if its possible to trace a Polish person who stayed in Poland after sending his family away in 1939. There maybe a vague report that he may have been executed in 1943 but nothing definate. The guys name is Jan Lukasiewicz from the Lvov area and may have been executed in Warsaw. Thanks for any help that anyone can give me. Mike
Mike It maybe worth contacting these people: The Polish Institute and Sikorski Museum, 20 Princes Gate, London SW7 1PT There is a Jan Lukasiewicz listed on the Katyn memorial but as I don't know how common the surname is it may not be the same person: KATYN MEMORIAL WALL - L
Many thanks Kyt, I work with a Polish person who speaks pretty good English, so i'll ask him how common the name is. Regards Mike
