Hello there folks, I'm new to WW2 researching, my main interests are WW1 and family research. I live in the Old West Riding of Yorkshire, can't get on with these new fangled county names.
Hi Roger and welcome WW1 as you know have service records available online - not the same for WW2, youu would need to apply to the MOD [and pay] for them - if you need it we can supply the link to application forms TD
Welcome, if you are intending to research a particular serviceman then best advice would be to get hold of their service records, as suggested above, remember that you will not get very far without them as there is very little out on the www. Get a copy of military service records
