    Hi guys

WIKI says the MKI Valentine 'was not sent out due to problems from rushed production'. Was that the case and what happened to the 350 made?

Has anyone got Valentine production figures?

Incidently Armoured Acorn as colour plates for many MKI's but mainly UK based training however one in 23 AB North Africa 1942...that right were they used in NA?

    Hi guys

Wiki says that the Valentine MkI infantry tank 'was not sent out due to problems from rushed production'. What all 350 of them?

I'm fairly sure they were retained for UK training but some also went to North Africa.

    Agree/disagree?

the 6th Armoured Div landed in North Africa(Nov '42) with some Valentines - might have been a few Mk1's amongst them - took a while to get rid of them and finally the Shermans arrived.

21st Tank bde landed with Churchills armed with 2 pounder guns -(Mar'43)- the six pounder guns came out later .... the whole point in both 21st and 25th Tank bdes being sent out was the success of the 6 pounder in trials....often wonder how we managed to win at times.......
    Cheers
