During First Arakan, there happened an ill-fated attack over chaung terrain by a squadron of Valentines in support of the advance on Donbaik, which ended in the loss of all 8 coffins involved. When Commonwealth troops were finally able to occupy the area in 1945, they found the destroyed hulks and some human remains, but at least for Perrett in "Tank Tracks to Rangoon", what really happened remains a mystery. Does anyone have more info on this engagement?
