Thanks for all this new material These will make interesting reading and they are very clear. The first batch that were posted on the 1940 thread were more difficult to read - they may have been compressed more than those on this thread.

There is no substitute for viewing original documents like these.

I see that formation signs for motorcycles were discontinued as early as February 1942. The previous reference was Hodges & Taylor's mention of the ACI dated October 1943 which has encouraged many restorers to think that they can 'get away' with a formation sign on their NW Europe 1944 portrayals.
