Verson Ruin Photo - Op Totalize War Diary Excerpts

    The attached Verson photo is probably taken in the later part of July 1944. Dad has written on the back of it:

    "Verson - France"
    "Kalamazoo killed chickens somewhere around here and told us he killed some Germans!"

    Kalamazoo (real name unknown to me) rode along with Dad in a defrocked-priest in Operation Totalize.

    Attached are excerpts from Dad's diary and the 11 Cdn Field Ambulance RCAMC war diary for this Op.

    (the blue-inked comments on Dad's diary pages are his. He made these notes to make it easier for my sister to read his diary, when she accompanied him to the 50th anniversary liberation celebrations in Holland.)
