Visit to RAF Wyton & 57 Squadron

    Last week I was lucky enough to go to RAF Wyton with 57 Squadron Association for their family day and Dining In Night at the Officer's Mess organised by the current 57 Squadron.

    For those that don't know, my uncle was a member of 57 Squadron during WW2 and family and veterans can join the Association. Several veterans were in attendance.

    I forgot to mention, the lady on the left hand end of the front row was called Alma and she is 89. Apparently she used to drive the bomb trains out to the planes. What a woman!
