They announced 78,000 visitors yesterday whilst we were there. Glad you all like the pics. We are really looking forward to taking Perkin to it's first air show next year :D

The Chinnook display reminded my why I hate flying on helicopters - Now they are Bastards Adam

I love helicopters, haven't been in one since 1988, sadly. :(

Hate 'em - I even refused to fly on one once and proper got in the shit. I knew the crew were going to take the piss when we were on board this Sea King and they even wanted us to wear immersion suits in case it ditched in the Irish Sea. I got sent to the Padre in the end

Would love to go to this next year...depending on where my husband gets posted next we may have to stay over. I suppose we'd have to take the kids too. We used to live just down the road from Duxford and I discovered a love of looking at planes, I just don't like actually going in them!

Great photos - makes me very jealous!

Stand where jets are landing, and expect to occasionally get jetted.

Imagine if he had to go around again and lit the afterburners? Toast anyone?

I have seen 747s land at St Maartens (try googling it) and that Typhoon looks VERY low to me!

The RAF say it's a normal landing.

I have seen the Sentry AWACS come in almost as low.

Those who position themselves in front of the runway threshold hazard themselves from undershooting incidents.Cannot understand it,nobody would deliberately position themselves under a load being carried by crane overhead...similar risk.

As it there has been a history over the years on airfields of aircraft taking the tops off of traffic when vehicles have ignored the traffic lights.
