My uncle Gunner W page 53rd worcester yeomanry 6th light airlanding brigade attached 6th airborne, was at Bure and Banda? still alive aged 84 He might be able to tell you somthing but he is VERY deaf?
Pte. Ernest Thomas Jones & Pte. Dennis Kenny both from Liverpool KIA at Bure on the 3rd January 1945 both married whilst on leave in December, a poignant article. Both were only aged 21!
I have just published a few maps on 8th Rifle Brigade's activity in the Ardennes and around Bure (including Chapel Hill), from 21 December 1944 until 14 January 1945: Maps and other documents - 8th Rifle Brigade Don Gillate also describes the period in his autobiography "With the 8th Rifle Brigade from Normandy to the Baltic". He "celebrated" his 22nd birthday in the bitter cold, on top of Chapel Hill.
I visited the village some time ago, see: Visiting the battlefields in 2020 & now in 2021. there is a small map in the link covering the initial assault by 13 Para Bn on the village. Hope this is of help
