    Hi, I'm trying to gather info on my grandfather who was called Albert Edward J, BINGHAM

    military address: N° 4794496 sergeant Albert Edward J, BINGHAM
    Headquarters, 2nd medium régiment

    he was in the north of France in 1939 near Lille (fort de Mons)

    I'm sorry, I dont speak English and I use a translator.

    You need someone to do a civilian search for death certificates to ID where he is buried, assuming he is dead. Hopefully someone will be able to help.

    I think he must be dead because my grandmother was born in 1915 and it was a few years old.

    Hi I do not speak French and no direct connection to the name Bingham but this photograph was taken of a group on leave from 8/12 or 4/8 2 Med Regt. in Hellemes Lille Nord about 15 Nov 1939. They are; Bill Stokoe, Fred Corless, Dusty Miller, Bob Wainwright (my father), Fred Norris, ??, ??, & Dick Sharpe some of these friends didn't make it. I am just reading BEF diary will look out for A. E. J. Bingham, sorry no help.

    Coucou Seb,

    Si vous parlez anglais où mieux si vous savez comment faire pour retrouver une unité ou encore mieux un soldat de cette unité (enfin des infos sur lui puisque je détiens déjà son nom, son numéro etc...^^)
    Plus sérieusement, si vous savez m'aider, j'ai reçu plusieurs messages sympas avec des liens mais je n'y comprends rien, comment retrouver le journal de marche, retrouver des infos sur lui et à terme je souhaiterai retrouver sa tombe pour que ma mère puisse s'y recueillir.
    Elle n'a de lui que quelques lettres, quelques photos et les souvenirs de ma grand mère perdu trop jeune.
    Alors si vous pouvez m'aider à retrouver nos racines ..........

    Déjà un grand merci de vous être proposé.

    Je ne peux rien promettre,je suis plus habitué à ce style de recherches coté US.
