Hi, whilst browsing through the War Diaries of 3rd Regt. RHA at the National Archives for 1944 (3 RHA 1944 1944 Jan., June- Sept., Nov., Dec WO 171_1009) and 1945 (3 RHA 1945 1945 Jan.- Apr WO 171_5079 and 3 RHA 1945 1945 May.- Dec WO 171_5080) I found copies of the War Diaries of 'J' Battery amongst them. There are now transcribed and on line for anyone to have a look at. Please see War Diaries For J Battery Royal Horse Artillery They start in December 1944 and go to November 1945, with June and July 1945 missing. I have also looked at the 3rd RHA Diaries for 1943 and there are no copies of an Battery Diaries in them, though. If I find any other Dairies for the Battery, these will be transcribed and published as soon as I can. Happy reading.
Hi, just to let everyone know that the 'J' Battery War Diaries for 1939, 1940, 1941 & 1942 are on line now. The is only March for 1940 and the 1941 to 1942 ones cover November 1941 to March 1942, including Sidi Rezegh.
