Talk about mountains out of molehills. I posted my best guess for the aircraft and squadron and asked the original enquirer to see if the NoK details confirmed this guess. The subsequent posts seem to have decided that this is the only answer and gone round the houses twice to rehash info in posts. Ross
Thanks to you and Nicola, BFBSM for catching this first of all plus of course RAFCommands. Douwe Drijver rang me just as I looking at so I have emailed the link to him and then I get an email from Glen Turner reference Kessel so I have forwarded the link to the thread to him too!!! By the way since I will be up near Bergan Op Zoom when I visit Soarremoarre I will stop off and take pictures of William Andersons grave (for posting on here). Dee
Talk about mountains out of molehills. I posted my best guess for the aircraft and squadron and asked the original enquirer to see if the NoK details confirmed this guess. The subsequent posts seem to have decided that this is the only answer and gone round the houses twice to rehash info in posts. Ross I too looked at exactly the same CWGC site and decided not to post as there was not enough information and it would have been a guess. The next post following yours showed that the same person was recovered from the sea and buried in the cemetery mentioned. Therefore really narrowing it down to more than a guess. At the end of the day the members are only trying to assist identification, like your goodself. Regards Tom
These are the deaths at Runnymede for the rest of the suggested crew. There were no other commonwealth deaths for Runnymede for that date. 001 BEYER EH 657044 75 RNZAF SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE 002 CLARKE LR 1166504 150 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 003 FISH FS 1383196 150 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 004 FORSYTH DS 39077 61 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE 005 FOSTER AL 113415 61 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 006 GOLDIE HE 1187044 75 RNZAF SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 007 HUNTING ER 1291752 75 RNZAF SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 008 JEFFRIES TA 1109614 61 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 009 LAING D 44412 150 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE 010 PEEL HO 116952 61 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 011 RONALDSON SB 638340 150 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 012 TAYLOR RC 116635 61 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 013 UNDERWOOD CFW 131880 61 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 014 WRIGHT J 1325527 61 SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL AIR FORCE VOLUNTEER RESERVE 001 MCARTER G R/87459 75 RNZAF SQDN SQDN 03/09/1942 ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE 002 PELLETTIER JG 53763 - 03/09/1942 ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE

There seems to be no deaths for "Andersen" that match. The only Air Force death of that name is in Taiping War Cemetery with the initials SW. So it seems the other spelling is not applicable either. There seems to be only one RAF William Anderson buried in The Netherlands for the entire war. Cheers Geoff
