Can I ask the experts for a little help on casualties from May 1940. British Army Other Ranks Casualty List 216 dated 28 May 1940 names six men from 2 Welsh Guards for whom a date on which the wounds occurred are not reported: Wounded 2732805 Bowen Lance Corporal G S B Date not reported Wounded 2735446 Davies Guardsman J D Date not reported Wounded 2733870 Devereaux A/Sjt A H Date not reported Wounded 2735333 John Guardsman T W Date not reported Wounded 2735649 Milton Guardsman J R Date not reported Wounded 2732943 Nicholls Guardsman S A Date not reported Given how long after the event some casualties were reported, my question is were any of the above six men known to have been wounded during Operation Harpoon in the Hook of Holland or are they from the fighting at Boulogne? Any help greatly appreciated. LGB

Steve Sorry, still trying to work around the site. Thanks for your helpful response. I will follow up on your suggestions first. LGB.
I have a Netherlands 1 Gulden coin with the reverse flattened and engraved with: 2733870 C/E A DEVEREAUX. This proves that A. Devereaux was engaged in Operation Harpoon in the Hook of Holland (Netherlands). The question I have is: what is the meaning of C/E?
