I had chance to have a quick look around Wewelsberg last sept ,The castle itself is a very impressive but grim looking place ,Inside the castle you go through the history of the castle and the local areadont go expecting to see much of its ww2 history on display there is or was very little when i went there ,also the crypt was closed .Still worth going though i was impressed by it

Nice pics and thanks for the info!
I read on the swedish wikipedia that the castle also is a hostel. Could it be true that the castle also offers accomodation?

The link I provided states that there is a hostel there.

I image it will be basic like most youth type hostels, but ideal if you visit and need overnight accomodation.

It must be a very weird or scary feeling sleeping there. But I think it is a "must do", I hope I can visit wewelsburg this summer.

    Hi Jack,
I went to “Alme Valley” with my friends then we saw this castle. We visited this place and really impressed by the history of this castle development. From the helicopter view of Wewelsburg castle, its look like triangle shape and internally it’s really beautiful.
IMO, we should visit this castle if we to village of Wewelsburg.
