    Hi Owen,
There's no question the steam train is very nostalgic, and very enjoyable, but your only doing half the trip.
I wanted to do the full 5 hours there and back.

    cheers......Graham.

    Hi Hugh,

    Absolutely true Hugh.
When we got back after 2 weeks in Scotland, I said to Liz," do you realise I never had a single drop of whisky whilst we were in Scotland ".(I'm not a big whisky drinker at any time) but I do like a tipple now and again.????
Next time we go there I shall make up for it.

    cheer's .....Graham.

    TD,
good idea, looks like Scotland is the home of Harry Potter and The Highland saga. I l read all of them.

The timimg depends on the famous rocks to help me travelling in time to Sept. 1941 to watch the guys escaping from the camp to your left.. The hole in 2015 looks frightening these days, but then in the dark with search lights.:reallymad:

We are now all set to fly to Glasgow on 13th April, celebrate our friends 70th (WW2talk member) and go on a 9-day comprehensive Highlands Tour.
    Thanks all for the help.

Ahhhhhhh the 13th April - is it a Friday ????

Also think its the start of either the Haggis nesting season or the shooting season - can never remember which

Dont be ridiculous. If you shot a haggis there would be nothing left to eat. Special traps are set that are designed to attach to one leg. They run round in circles until they drop dead from exhaustion then you send the children to the hills to pick them up. However, you are correct in that April is nesting season and trapping is banned. (Allegedly).

In my country, Friday and 13th is an old wifes tail. Do I believe in it? No way.
