Can anybody explain how the airnborne was broken down during WW2? What I mean is, how many squads in a platoon, how many platoons in a company, battalion..etc? How many divisions were there? Artillary etc. From the top guy all the way down to the private. A bit like a family tree. Can anybody help???
You'll also find structures for "enemy" airborne etc here: Enemy Air-Borne Forces, Military Intelligence Service, Special Series No. 7, December 1942 (LoneSentry.com)
This is a very good site - covers all the countries from the Battalion down http://www.bayonetstrength.150m.com/
Are you referring to all Airborne forces? or just a specific country? I have some information on British Airborne forces that may be of interest! regards Andy
