I found a photo of my grandfather in uniform, and he had written 'taken on "Tunisia Day"' on the back of the picture, no year or other labelling. Does this refer to the 13th of May 1943? Most of his photos are undated.

I was wondering if it's some regimental think but couldn't find anything. google not much help. Ah well, just curious.
Ethan Perhaps they had just got news of the ending of hostilities in Tunisia and the photo is a follow on, or it may have a link to a unit fighting in Tunisia
