There are many motives for lying.

It is not possible to exterminate millions and leave behind no forensic evidence, unless all documents were destroyed (they claim to have them), ashes were dumped in the ocean (they claim they were disposed of on site, yet no one can find evidence of such), and they altered the reported census after the war.

No one will even bother to explain why the best engineers didn't bother to build gas chambers to exterminate millions of humans, but did so to exterminate lice.

You don't dissappear the remains of millions of people, yet, somehow they did. Yet they claim they found them, yet they can't show evidence of, nor account for these millions of remains of prisoners.

The chemical analysis supports the original one. Heavy residue on the lice gas chambers. Trace amounts on the showers. And zero control. Zero known gas chambers for comparison.
