    L BDR is a rank in the Royal Artillery - Lance Bombadier - similar to a Lance Corporal in the Infantry

    His grave has Corporal.

    Would he still be listed as other ranks first?

    A mate of mine's dad is listed as Gunner.

    Dad was L/Cpl as he enlisted for the duration ... others, in before 1939, will be listed as where they hailed from, as it were.
