For reasons of family history, I would like to establish the precise location, on a daily basis, of Guy Gibson during the period Summer 1942 until the time he was sent to form 617 Squadron. Are his logs and personal diaries etc in the public domain?
SDP Obtain the squadron records for 106 sqdn he was commanding officer before he was called upon to form 617 sqdn, these will inform you of his movements.
His log book from Nov 1940 to Sept 1944 is open to public inspection at The National Archives AIR 4/37 Regards Ross
