Kindly sent to me a long while back by a forum member, I've finally got around to tidying this up. Much conventional, but later on some right oddballs. Issued 2 years after the war, and to those familiar with many of these images, perhaps interesting to speculate on whether this was the first publication they were prepared for. Job done. Will endeavour to type up all the names later so Google etc. can find 'em... probably. Enjoy, if it's your sort of thing. (It is mine anyway... some of those planned Waffentragers really were quite odd for their time.) ~A
Indeed an excellent find (Brian I presume?) and well done for posting. Any ideas what the other two volumes are Adam and if there are further vols?
Brian/ADM indeed, mate. Most kind of him to send me it. Think the other volumes might include softskins but haven't really looked into it. Glad you chaps like it anyway, now combing the hard drive for anything else I've neglected to share.
Think the other volumes might include softskins but haven't really looked into it. I'll do some looking on my next trip and see what I can find.
I have all the WO 208 files on a spreadsheet - Look what I found WO 208/2984 Illustrated record of German Army equipment 1939-1945: infantry. Missing at transfer <---How annoying ! WO 208/2985 Illustrated record of German Army equipment 1939-1945: artillery vol 2 part I WO 208/2986 Illustrated record of German Army equipment 1939-1945: artillery vol 2 part 2 WO 208/2988 Illustrated record of German Army equipment 1939-1945: vehicles other than armoured fighting vehicles Vol . 1947 WO 208/2989 Illustrated record of German Army equipment 1939-1945: mines, mine detectors and demolition equipment vol 5 Shall I add them my copy list?
I suspect the 'vehicles other than AFVs' might be something the web could do with. Lots of general one-stop tank reference out there, but things a bit sketchier on softskins and bikes.
