I am trying to trace the service of a young woman who served in the forces during WW2.

The collar of her uniform has what looks like an embossed T, does it sound familiar to anyone/

At first I thought FANY, but the top half of the cross is not there, but then that looks like WAAF, stripes on her shoulder but the collar insignia does not fit with WAAF:unsure:

Looks like a NAAFI badge to me.

Could you scan the badge at a higher res? it would help us ID it

I have been sent a picture of a service woman from WW2.

Her collar has a T within a circle. Does anyone know in which part of the services she served in?

    Thanks

    Hi Carol,
    Threads merged.

I can move the thread if you want to another sub-forum, but please don't start more than one on the same topic. It only leads to confusion.

If after a while you want to bump it back up the lists, post something to the effect of 'asking again' or 'can anyone else help?'

    Good luck

    Regards
    Diane
