WW II aircraft from Hill Aerospace Museum

During a recent visit to Hill AFB in Utah, I popped into the museum there. Photograhing was very tricky, as the indoor areas were as crowded as the hangar deck of a carrier.

That's nice to hear. Unfortunately the B-24 was among those almost impossible to get a decent shot on. The surroundings were littered with equipment and irrelevant aircraft. Maybe Peter Clare will be interested in some of those photos I discarded.

Lastly, The B-29 Super Fortress. This was the only WW II bird in the outside exhibition. It was rather sad; clearly weather-beaten, all engines and gadgets removed and bird-protective netting closing all orifices.
