for the grand sum of one pound ww2 DVDs for sale - they are all old newsreel archives Desert Rats 1940-42 I picked up this one, contains wavells 30,000, the siege of tubruk, and a reel on the brave diggers of tubruk 1 hour and 10 mins of glorious black and white history Store Finder | Poundland .
Thanks for the tip. In the Bolton branch I picked up a newsreel dvd that apparently was an Oscar winner entitled 'The True Glory - from Normandy to Berlin'. Couldn't see the Desert Rats one but others included The fall of Poland 1939 and RAF operations. As well as the newsreel discs there was some documentaries on the Stuka and another that I picked up on German Armour from 1939-45.
What sort of stores are these. Possibly equivalent to our $2.00 shops in Oz. See there is one in Roman Road in Bow where my late wife was born. My nephew is going to drive me around there to have a look at the area and a couple of other places they lived, Libra Road in Stratford and Dames Road in Forest Gate.
Spidge They are probably very much the same. I love taking a look around as very ocasionally you do find a real gem of a bargain. And of course the giant Toblerone's for a quid!

Geoff, if your $2 shops are anything like ours, you won't find any DVD's in there. The Pound shops in the UK are great and have some really decent items for sale. For the war collection DVD's try The Warehouse if you have them, which is where ours are found, and can usually be picked up for anything between $4.99 and $9.99. WG
