Am I the only one who thinks that funding a film that way is a shockingly bad idea, especially with extras having to pay for the priveledge?

Why get well established actors? I personally think these things should be jumpstarts for new talent to show their skills...

Why not do it this way Swiper? Their call, hard times, purely voluntary. Some shockingly bad war films have been funded in the normal way.

If this is Walter Harris, has someone has got his regiment wrong?

I like the idea and the concept of British people making a British film - Especially if they are British War Films. Donating wouldn't be a problem as long as there is a film at the end of it. Being the ever sceptic I'd hate to donate for the film to fold and get nothing - Maybe there should be a film insurance firm like ABTA :D

Do we need another D-Day film though - I could suggest some awesome material for a film set in France during 1940.
