    I took these today on the edge of Tavistock square, Upper Woburn place. Has CL1 already posted this plaque on here somewhere ? Couldn't find it anywhere...

    There's a specific website by the Firemen and Firewomen's Remembrance group dedicated to remembering the work of the fire service in WW2 which includes this memorial. Possibly it is that you were thinking of:
