    hi...

i'm also heavily intrested in ww1 and the somme....
There are a range of guide books telling you the history of these places, maps, walks and photos...
There called "Battleground Europe" They have range of places spread across the Somme sector.
They're great for school and just great for pure reading.
Is there any equivelent of these to do with ww2 or somthing simular...???

Hi Dan - there are some BE titles that cover Normandy and other WW2 battlefields, but having used - or tried to use - some of them 'in the field' they are largely not as good as their WW1 counter-parts.

Much better are the Sutton series 'Battlezone Normandy'.

I also recommend Toni and Valmai Holt's guidebooks...they have done Normandy and the Market-Garden battlefields.
