WW2 Thank you

I thought it may be good to start a thank you thread to all the kind, knowledgeable, and helpful moderators on this site. I will start with Owen who has guided us through the early stages of being here on this site, we had never joined any site before, so hadn't got a clue what to do, so a big Thank you to Owen. Also to SDP, Mr Jinks, dbf, Harry Ree and Kevin Battle. If you are a Mod that I have left out, then sorry and Thank you.

Agreed - it's a great site and a large part of this is due to the moderators. I particularly like the fact they don't take any nonsense, especially with the thinly disguised Nazi sympathizers and Holocaust deniers who occasionally turn up. They are given short shrift, which is how it should be. Stops the place getting polluted by idiots.

 

Hello to everyone we have been on this site for 1 year now and we thanked the mods for all their hard work and dedication to making it a successful site,
so, a year on we would like you to thank them once again especially during these uncertain times. Thank you all mods. sheila and richard

 

When are you going to retire? How much will be your pension for long service? I do hope that you get a gold clock. I'm not chipping in when it comes to a whip round.

Yes, Owen is a good friend and I don't miss a chance to gig him.

When we were in London a few years back, he went out of his way to arrange for our families to meet up.

I appreciated it greatly.

Just don't ask him to recite Vogon poetry.

I've met Owen a couple of times. He's such a pussycat. A great fella and such a good laugh.

I'm new to this forum but want to thank everyone for being so helpful and also apologise in advance for maybe posting things in the wrong place or to the wrong person…. Despite my kids constantly trying to enlighten me I still don't know what I'm doing when it comes to technology

I agree with Shazbaz I’m new to the site also, and don’t know where to post things most of the time. Looking back I see I’ve posted the same thing on different places, hope to improve that.
