WW2 wicker medical pannier basket

    IMG_8862.png IMG_8863.png IMG_8860.png IMG_8862.png IMG_8863.png I was gifted this WW2 wicker medical basket and I am trying to discover some more about the markings on it.

    it has the weight and the it also has the red/blue under the 5 which I believe means Riyal Artillery possibly? but would love to know where it may have gone which troops maybe? Do the the markings 5/Q/44 indicate any of this?

    We've got one of those but without the cover.
    It was my wife's grandfather's.
    My wife has her wedding dress in it.
    Never knew it's origin so am interested to see what the members come up with.
