Whilst reading the latest addition to this thread today an advert appeared in the space above the thread for 'Big Dugs' and his answer to low cost bookcases and shelving!! Now who says big brother is not watching us on here?

Some splendid bookcases gents and being as Paul, keeps buying two of the same book he might as well give them to me I now buy two of all the books published by small companies (such as Sigmond etc), as you never know how rare they are going to get! Just look at B Coy Arrived and Leading the way to Arnhem!! . All the best..........

Right then, I have finally finished a major sort out of my books and by the end of next week, I will have four new bookcases in situ measuring in total eight foot across..........containing sixteen shelves I already have two up and when I have completed all four I will post some pics.

My bookcase is 8 ft x 5ft 6' with 22 shelves containing - until recently 1200 books but in downsizing I have given away to the local library and schools some 500 books and hope to sell 39 volumes of Agatha Christie -14 Vols of Thomas Hardy - 6 of Churchill and 5 of Taylors Cheers

After a frustrating time during which my bookcase plans did not turn out as I liked here are my Arnhem and Burma bookcases.
Still working on getting some final form of organization happening. Pics 5 & 6 are in my upstairs office. The rest are in my basement lair (where my wife refuses to go). I've also managed to take over the spare bedroom (temporarily or permanently is still up for debate).
That mate is either a serious book collecting issue/problem or a fantastic collection of books . Safe to say on here, it is a fantastic collection of books.
