    Hello,
I wonder if forum members would have time to photograph any war memorials close to you and post them here on the forum? Or, if you have already done so, can you please post links on this thread? [Adding 'War Memorials - UK' tag to the thread would also aid searches.]

I have been posting ones near to where I live, checking the names against CWGC records and they have certainly helped with my own research.

Of course, I am particularly interested in Guards. There are other members who have their own areas of research, who I am sure would be equally grateful for photos which may include names of interest to them.

Quite often a person's NOK etc is not listed, so any help by way of background is a help.

    Many thanks

You need to have a look at a Website called Roll of honour and also look in local areas Geneology for war memorial transcripts.
It is time consuming but it is worthwhile when you find missing names there is other websites that are lossley linked.

Didn't the Imperial War Museum organise a project like this a few years back? I supplied them with images of the Greenford war memorial and a transcript of the names on it.
