    Good morning Deacs,

Thank you so much for posting this up.

Both you and dbf may find this of interest.

    On this day during WW2

Kind regards, always remember, never forget,

    Jim.

  3. Just posted the exact location of a memorial stone for Martine Edward Tyson.
It is close to the memorial stone of Alfred Ronald Edwards.
It would be great if relatives of Tyson could know this memorial in honour of Tyson !!

  4. Good evening to you all,

For a future publication I am looking for family of SAS soldier Martine Edward Tyson (07-06-1922/16-04-1945).
he was killed during Operation Keystone.
On the internet I found a relative called Peter M. Tyson, a nephew of Martine.
But up to now I was not able to find him....

Just started a new book about WW2 in the Dutch village of Putten in The Netherlands.
In this new book I would like to have a chapter about Martine Tyson.
He gave his life for our freedom and deserves this honour (!).
So I have a general story and I have a picture.....but seeking contact with any family of Martine.

Is there anyone that could help me in any way to find the family of Martine?

    father : Edward Tyson
    mother : Gracia Tyson (Lopez-Saavedra)
place in 1945 : Ambleside Westmoreland (Kendal?)

Have you asked Paradata for help? Their site: Martine E Tyson | ParaData has a photo donated by Peter M. Tyson. If not try them first, they might forward any email or letter: Make an Enquiry | ParaData

192.com a ££ website uses the Electoral Roll (ER) and other sources. It shows a Peter M. Tyson lived in London SE25, according to the ER 2014-2022, with other family members. See: https://www.192.com/atoz/people/tyson/peter/

You could send a letter to 51 Woodvale Avenue, South Norwood, Croydon, London, SE25 4AD; this address is possibly the family address, but it was sold in 2023, so I expect the family have moved on.

A Debbie Tyson-Gooden was on the ER and is linked to a school, perhaps an email to her might work. See: Contact Or her direct email in November 2023 within an advert: Teaching Assistant to work in our Early Years - Allfarthing Primary School | 24 November, 2023 | Jobs and careers with Richmond and Wandsworth Councils

Deacs Well i am from Cumbria.

Peter as kindly returned my message but sadly he cannot add anything to your research Cees he is sorry to say.

  8. Good afternoon Deacs, Thank you very much for contacting him. For a future publication I am looking for (old) relatives that might have a picture or any additional information. So it can be another relative. The idea was to ask Peter if he or any other relative could help me with that. I am sorry to hear that he does not want to have any further contact.
    THANX !!

For you and everybody at this site I wish health and prosperity for 2024 and beyond !!

  9. Good afternoon Davidbfpo,

    Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I did ask Paradata for help.
They have an email address and did made a request for contact.
But according to the message of Deacs, Mr. Peter Tyson does not want to make contact with me and says that no additional information is available.
I did follow your lead to another relative (Debbie).
Maybe other relatives do have information.
    So hoping for that!

Health and prosperity for 2024 and beyond !!
Thank you for your help !!

    Kindest regards, Cees

Deacs Well i am from Cumbria.

Cees it isn't that he doesn't want to have any further contact the problem is that he honestly can't help as everyone that may have knew Martine and who could possibly help is sadly gone that he knows of, so he can't add anything to the research unfortunately.
