Adam, I believe your excuse was to protect you lovely desk however to purchase the A2 smells of the foundation to start building again. You kid yourself as much as you like. The kit battle is reignited.

I was pleased as punch (do people still say that? I don't live in the UK) to get this collection of resin lumps for Christmas CameraZOOM-20201225135046147-01.jpeg

When I combine the lumps with a Tamiya 1/48 Cromwell I will be able to make this!

    Hmmm.
    It's got a bag of f-ing springs.
Why the F does it need springs...
How the F is this box of a machine 450+ parts?
    Why is there a Frenchman?!
    Hmmm...

There is a reason I don't buy 1/35 kits... number of parts!!!

    Happy New Year All.

I’m looking for another kit, or 2, or 3 to make. Any recommendations for Spitfire or Lancaster kits?

    Hollow laugh.
Try Some of Dragon's 1/72, particularly the 251 half tracks.
About the same number of parts as the 1/35. Marvellous, challenging, infuriating.

Then there's AFV club, where 450 parts would barely cover the average lorry suspension.

Matt although I built kits way back it was rather hit and miss. They resembled crashed/destroyed vehicles at final completion.
The Lancaster looks a beast but £400 quid for me to build it then blow/burn it up in the back garden is a bridge to far

Blimey, there's some pricey books out there on A7Vs.
Tempting, but think I'll do with what I have... whatever that is.
    Hmmm. Again.

If interested - I have a lot of background material about the A7V (buried deep on my HD), including some PDF books and a heap of pictures....

Very kind, mate, but I'm probably good.

Though the Queensland museum book on Mephisto remains exceptionally tempting.

As for "Mephisto" itself: very nicely done book - you notice the heart and soul that the authors have put into it...

The only reason I've not cracked.
A travelling Aussie offered to bring one back for me last year, but decided the arrangement would be too complex. Especially in 20-sodding-20.
Still collecting images whenever I see them.
Though maybe I should have kept putting them in a folder..

I have written them an E-mail asking if the $61 for shipping is correct.
