    Frank,

    I think Amanda is referring to the Adjutant and Quartermaster (AQ) branch of the divisional HQ. I have most of the AQ files of 56 Division and they do not contain any award recommendations.

    Ah - OK, thanks Gary! I will keep everything crossed for the military files. I've sent off the cheque today, so I'll keep you posted - amazingly supportive community, thank you, Amanda :)

    Another aspect might be the Brigade War Diary for the period. As it was a Queens Brigade there might be a mention or a report in it.
