I'm trying identify an RAF ASR launch reported as being destroyed after an explosion whilst refuelling at Falmouth on 21st September 1944. Reportedly with one killed and two seriously injured. In my experience ASR vessel and personnel losses are difficult to track down, so I wonder if anybody has any clues as the identity of the launch in question or a place I could look, to search for this and other ASR/HSL losses. Hi Ross, Thanks for that. From CWGC I'd narrowed it down to Butler, Hodgkinson or Cpl Strowger. Sadly no closer to identifying the launch involved. Do you have any idea which Marine Unit was based at Falmouth during this period? Regards, Steve
