It is well known fact that US-help was very important for saving USSR from defeat. However, contemporary "Russian patriots" not only deny the role of USA in WW2 but propagate calumny. This is found in all Russian forums more or less touching WW2. An example of this calumny (if you read Russian, you may find the original text here Ñàìèçäàò: Ñòàëèí - Êóòóçîâ. 22 èþíÿ., commentary N. 89): "Thus, it is question who was better helped by USA in WW2 - USSR or Hitlerian Germany". In my opinion, American underestimate the scale of xenophoby and anti-americanism in Russia.
Eh They took Berlin for you...what more do you want? Seriously though ingratitude? The USA supported Russia for charitable reasons then? They seemed to have died in their millions./How grateful do you want them to be...
"Thus, it is question who was better helped by USA in WW2 - USSR or Hitlerian Germany". Eh ? What a bizarre question.
Public comments? Big deal, happens everyday in places like youtube where the motto seems to be "Have an ar$ehole? You're entitled to one opinion". Congratulations for discovering the Cold War.
Eh ? What a bizarre question. Oh, it's a common meme amongst people who are "ardently anti-communist" (The term starts with "neo-", IIRC.)
Oh, it's a common meme amongst people who are "ardently anti-communist" (The term starts with "neo-", IIRC.) anti-communism is no crime, unless one belongs to the political-correct liberals who are still mourning about the disappearance of the iron curtain

anti-communism is no crime, unless one belongs to the political-correct liberals who are still mourning about the disappearance of the iron curtain Ooh, in the times the Curtain was up, your PCLs would all be happy to be outside it: life for them would not be so rosy inside. Fine for the Potemkin villages, but after the glamour had run out it would be something else. better would be :it is a well known fact that US help was IMPORTANT for helping the SU winning the war . And vice-versa. If the Reds weren't killing Germans at that rate, Overlord would have been called Oh Lord
better would be :it is a well known fact that SU help was IMPORTANT for helping the US (et al) winning the war . FIFY. As I said above imagine (to evade the fatal word combination) the practical consequences of having this people alive and unengaged elsewhere a bit further west. It would have made things a bit easier, right? Call it a sort of Reverse Lend-Lease: the Red Army was supplying manpower to crew the tanks and vehicles the West supplied to help said West defeat the Nazis. Or, the way I prefer to see it, it was all a joint effort.
