How Would You Win The War For Germany?

Hitler had only two chances of winning the war (or at least not losing it). Defeat or make peace with Great Britain in the summer of 1940 or give a fatal blow to the USSR in the summer of 1941. He failed on both. Other decisions, like going for the Med in 1941, not declaring war to the USA or making earlier his wonder weapons could have helped him, but not decisively in my opinion. Invading Britain was imposible in face of the Royal Navy, but who knows if an effective blockade, or the taking of Egypt could have forced peace. In the USSR, his only real chance was taking Moscow in august, and the area behind the city up to Gorki and Tuzla. This was the core of the USSR, had a lot of important industries, the greatest centers of slavic (id est, more reliable) population to recruit, and the communications hub. Maybe it would have not been decisive, but it was german's best chance, as a lot of commander saw it.

Germany could never win the war against Russia...Never! ..By no stretch of the imagination. Russia stretches from Europe, through I think 14 time zones to the Pacific, What Country could ever govern them? Where would the manpower come from? Any one contemplating warfare against this suprecontinent should think again. Stop and think of the problems..The more you think, the more the impossibility becomes apparent..

Only a fool would take them on. If it came to a Nuclear war Russia would have enough territory to absorb the attack.

You can win on paper, but you cannot win and govern in reality.

Sapper, most of Russia is filled with nomads, only the part of russia in the european continent, and the parts closest to the european continent are populated.

I'm sure the germans would have been able to accomplish occupying no-mans land.

I would have won by making the decision not to start it in the first place ;)

What do you mean? Hitler was having the upper hand in the war until he tried to invade russia. He could have won the war if he didn't attack Russia and stayed under that Non-Aggression pact with them.

(For Hitler) it was a good idea to start the war because it gained Germany lots of land.

I would have focused everything on te Battle of Britain, and then hold a position in there to repel D-Day.

The Soviets even hold the record for the largest population living in the coldest (-67c) inhabited place on the planet. 170,000 +

    Doesn't that make you proud!
