6Bn The Cameronians 1-5 Nov 1944 War Diary

    Hello im looking for any info on Thomas Owen who was killed in walcheren on Nov 3 1944. I have no idea how he was killed. Thanks in advance. Anthony.

    Found out his rank and number. Rfn. 14301791 t. Owen. Buried in Bergen op zoom cemetery.

    Bare with me and I'll look at the Cameroians History book I have upstairs. Not sure they'll be much in it though.

    Can't get the piccy in my phone. How can i find the war diary for his unit as i would like to know what happened on Nov 3 1944. Will look. At pic when i get home. Thank you.

    Don't thank me-Thank the forum. If members on here didn't send me to Kew I would never have the diary or be able to afford the book.

    I think this is good as you will get without throwing money at it on the off chance there is something else. An email to the Regts Museum won't cost you anything and there is a very slim chance he may be recorded in the regiments missing men file but it's probably only worth exploring if you can get to the National Archives in person-Not sure I'd pay someone to do it.
