    Brilliant.
It's like those Airfix 'Jungle house' type sets that were mentioned a while back. You forget about them completely and then 30 years and one picture later Nostalgia & familiarity hits you like a sledgehammer.

Bet I'd be seriously disappointed if I shelled out 'collector money' for one now though....

The Airfix "Ruined Cottage" still appears from time to time on a wargame tabletop here. It's amazing what eras it can be crammed into....!

Nope, don't remember that one at all.

Had lots of the Airfix ones, the bridge, ruined house, jungle hut etc etc

Oh I remember it alright!!. Great set too. Always hated the Matchbox German Infantry but I did like their Eighth Army and Afrika Korps packs. The 8th Army set had a bagpipe player!!! The Matchbox kits always had a little diorama as well, ok well more like a display base but they were quite good, especially the Bigger sets.

Drew , that's the Airfix ones.
I had them in 1/32nd scale & had two painted ones from a model shop in Barmouth, North Wales.

The Matchbox models fell through because they were in 1:76 scale (OO train scale). recently the Revell company bought all of the old moulds and have been reproducing them. I think they are wonderful little kits, and the diorama each one comes with is a very nice touch.
