the largest part of the German Army was sent to Eastern Front, and the greatest battles of all time, namely Moscow and Stalingrad and Kursk, took place there; as result, up to 80% of Wehrmacht was destroyed by the Red Army.

T-34, are you looking for a discussion about whether the Eastern Front was the main theatre of War or did you start a thread merely to state a fact.

well, there's no Eastern Front section in these forums, which is in my opinion pretty insulting to the memory of those who fought in this war and to the History as such...

This is why you are treated with such disdain on this forum. You don't read books so offer no support to your statements.

There is an Eastern Front section on this forum.

Why do you continue to be a fool?

There is an Eastern Front section with lots and lots of threads about the Great Patriotic War and you will find that the current crop of members are fairly respectful about the Red Army. If you are looking for threads that encourage argument such as "we were better than you" then I suggest you try other forums,T-34. If you truly want to talk about the Red Army and not just start jumping up and down screaming that " we were better than you" then why not start some threads about aspects of the Battle of Stalingrad or Moscow or even Kursk. Got any info from the Russian Archives? we'd love to read about them.

But if you only want to start talking about how great the Soviets were compared to the West, then this isnt the forum to start it. We recognise the role ALL of the ALLIED nations in the defeat of the Axis Powers.

ah my bad ...thanks for the link anyway; it's placed behind the European Front, so i didn't notice it at first, because i expected it be placed first in line.

Yeah well thats what you get when you assume something, to assume is to make an ASS of U and ME :D.

If you are truly bothered about the precedence of the links why not start your own forum?

    t
but they were indeed great, so what can i do... the 'General' forum goes the first in the main page, but doesn't reflect the role of the USSR in the war; that's why i felt the urge to make up for that.

So were all the Allied Nations T-34. :D So what can we do?? :D. We like to take a more Holistic approach, you know, a sort of a "Well Done everyone" style of posting!!
    You should try it sometime!

:) What? Us? Tell you what why dont you educate yourself and have a look through the section you accused us of hiding - you will find that we did appreciate the role of the Red Army. Of course given the fact that you couldnt find it without trying to insult us doesnt lead me to hold out much hope that you can post positively on the forum, but I hope I'm wrong.

Hello T34, always a pleasure to see you mooching about.

The forum is 'with a commonwealth focus' because that is our niche; we mostly concentrate on that because that's the bulk of the membership/specialism - it works rather well, I wish more general WW2 forums would choose a specialism too. Look at the Unit history section and you'll see we benefit from that specialism, as do other places with a Red Army/Axis/Naval focus.

But that concentration can imply no bias, or lack of appreciation of the war's wider issues.
I like Pistachio Ice-cream best, but that doesn't mean I ignore all other ice-cream.

Doesn't really matter where a thread is, does it?
Unless, of course, you're just being awkward... ;)

    - but it indeed looks hidden in comparison to the 'Holocost' section, for example; whilst Holocost in itself is nowhere near as important as the Eastern Front.

The layout of the forums means nothing, and implies nothing.
    Use the search function mate.

then could you, please, move over the 'Holocost' section to someplace akin to where this thread is currently now.

    Tell you what?
Shall I change the name of the forum too?

It is what it is, and it works. You're making a rather large deal about where threads lie... All threads can be found, nothing's hidden.
Shall I tell Amvas his excellent RKKA site should have more on other issues, or shuffle itself about to suit my interests?
    I think not.
