This link is to an article published by the Foreign Military Studies Office of the US Army and concerns an article by Col David Glantz who was the Russian Expert in that Department. The article is concerned with how the war in Russia was reported in an unbalanced view in the west and sets out to highlight little known operations of the "Great Patriotic War"

I would be interested to see what you all think

I've got Glantz's book 'The Military Strategy of the Soviet Union' and was disappointed by it; the author does not seem to be able to penetrate the fog of deliberate deception that clouds so much Soviet post-war historiography. Following your link, I read with interest what Glantz has to say about the Warsaw Uprising. Warsaw's where I live; my father and mother-in-law both took part in the Rising. He fails to mention the fact that Stalin refused the RAF and USAAF permission to use Soviet-held air bases for landing after supply-drop missions over Warsaw.
