Camp 199 was listed at one time as Haverfordwest (199 was also Ystrad). The Haverfordwest site is on Haven Road, Haverfordwest, which is a continuation of Portfield (road). The site was next to Portfield Cottage. (SM 9338 1544) From July 1945, Henllan Bridge lists a 'Portfield Hostel, Haverfordwest' with 300+ pows. It seems very likely that this is the same place - with Camp 199 becoming a hostel for Camp 70. (Ystrad probably then taking the 199 number). Does anyone have any info to corroborate this?
