These are abstracts of press articles written by 'Special Correspondents with the Merchant Navy' during the Normandy Landings. (as far as I know this was the only time in the war that the Service had war correspondents on their ships). I have facsimilies of most of the articles, if anyone wants more. Hope this reads OK, I am operating on one eye at the moment, 'all same Nelson' as we used to say in the MN! In a fit of petulance my spell checker won't work either.
