    Did the 1st Field Engineer Squadron belong to the 1st Infantry Division or the 5th Armoured Division?
    In many documents, it appears in both orders of battle:
    - 1st, 3rd & 4th for the 1st Canadian Infantry Division
    - 1st & 10th for the 5th Armoured Division
    What's the deal?

    Field Companies were in Infantry Divisions.

    Field Squadrons were in Armoured Divisions.

    at the army corps or army level... are they always companies ?
