Here is my latest little creation which is the closed to OOB builds I think I get. They are both Milicast kits and the only additions were to the Rolls Royce with a scratch-built Bren gun mounting on the turret rear (the kit one was missing) and two control rods for the front armoured doors for the radiator. The WOT3 had no additional parts added (I made the master for Milicast). I did add some mostly Milicast stowage to both vehicles. The figures are Dan Taylors fetching little Desert Chill set and the scene is meant to portray a stop for a little sustenance on a chilly desert evening by elements of the 11 Hussars during Operation Compass in Egypt in 1940. The decals all came from my stock and are all Mike Starmer’s range. His assistance by providing a colour plan of the caunter camo on the RR is much appreciated and his book “The Caunter Scheme” was used for the proper camo pattern on the lorry. My thanks to both Dan and Mike for their assistance with this little project. Cheers, Neil
The WOT is a handsome beast and a bit unusual. Lovely work as usual, I didn't realise you made masters for Milicast but that makes sense. Another Clive
Thank you Clives for your great comments. I have done maybe 6 or 7 masters for Milicast over the last few years. Cheers, Neil
Very nice. I am with Adam about your figures, always lifelike. The whole thing could be in 1:1 scale. I tried to order the Rolls Royce but the Milicast on line shop says my name and my address do not match so it cannot process the order. I have had the name for 76 years and the address for 42 years. Mike
Thanks Owen. It seems the problem is that that I usually let 'her indoors' buy my toys. The shopping site computer then has trouble matching name and address. Never affects big name shopping sites but I did have trouble with GHQ. I suppose I shall have to let her buy all my toys for ever. (Please do not all try this simple ploy). Mike
Thanks all for the great comments gents and Mike, just e-mail Tom and I'm sure he can help you. The Rolls is a very nice kit and they have the earlier version as well. Cheers, Neil
