1 Armoured Division - L.A.D.?

    I am currently looking at the War Diaries of the 1st Armoured Division in May 1940, specifically that for the 1 Armoured Division Workshop. I would like to know what "L.A.D." stands for, as shown in the image below. P3670200_Crop.jpg

    LAD is a Light Aid Detachment. It's a small group of RAOC (later REME) tradesmen attached to another unit to carry out first line repair and recovery of the unit's weapons and vehicles.
