    Hi all,

It would be extremely helpful if anyone has the War Diary for 148 Regiment RAC that covers the period during Operation Totalize in August 1944.

If you do, please let me know.

    Kind regards

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for getting back to me. I am researching a chap who was wounded on the 8th August 1944. I can't figure out how to send you a PM to discuss?

    Cheers

    Emps,

There are a couple of sections in Appx D to the August 1944 WD that discuss casualties suffered on 8 Aug 44:

    WO171-880 - Appx D - Aug 44 WD (1).JPG

    WO171-880 - Appx D - Aug 44 WD (2).JPG

There aren't any more details of those wounded on that day, but I hope that helps.

    Regards

    Tom

Hi. I have just come across this forum. My great uncle died at Garcelles on 08th August 1944 during Op Totalize, on this very day. He was part of the 7th Batallion the Black Watch. Does this casualty report refer to the attack on Garcelles? Am I looking at the right document? His name was Private Douglas Graham Robinson. Thank you.

    Hi Neil,

Unfortunately not. That's a casualty report from the war diary of 148 Regiment RAC. Hopefully someone will be able to help with 7th Black Watch details.

    Regards

    Tom
