Having received my Uncle's Military Records I have noted that he embarked the UK with the 15 Div HQ on 15.6.44 and remained with the HQ in NWE until September 1945. Can anyone tell me what sort of duties he might have carried out as part of HQ and also confirm that he would never have been front line? Many thanks
