Hello I have just joined this forum out of relative curiosity. With regards the original posting above re the 706 Artisan General Construction Company & the date you find curious.
Whilst I could be wrong..... the 7th of Aug. 1940 was the date the troop ship the Mohamed Ali El Kebir was torpedoed by U38 176 miles ish west of Tory Island,Ireland. One of my uncles was on the said ship.

I had a rummage earlier with regards photos I saved from the 706 Artisan General Works Coy website, sadly to no avail.(yet) Then I discovered that correspondence I had with the creator of the Artisan Works 706 Company website was dated 2002.! I thought it was only the other year. Anyway I will have a look on sundry burnt Cd's to see if I can find photos that I know I printed out at the time.
